Throughout the course you will carry out practical activities, including: Using microscopes to see cell division Dissection of animal or plant systems Aseptic technique to study microbial growth

What you need to get on

Students should have obtained between A* and B in GCSE Biology. They should also have a B grade in Maths. Double Award students should, ideally, have achieved an A grade for Additional Science and at least a B grade for Core Science.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
