At HWS we have well equipped, modern laboratories in order to hone students' practical skills. Biology lessons are filled with interesting and engaging content, delivered by teachers with a real passion for the subject. We also organise a Year 13 educational visit to carry out Field Work in accordance with one of the required practicals

What you need to get on

Entry to Hinchley Wood Sixth Form is dependent on achieving 7 GCSE passes, comprising level 9 - 4 grades. A minimum of grade 4 is required in Maths and English; as well as a grade 6 in GCSE Biology and a 6 in one other Science GCSE, or; Grade 6/6 in Combined Science. The mathematical demand for A Level Biology is challenging. A grade 6 in GCSE Mathematics is required. Grade 5 in Maths will be considered.
