The A Level course looks at genetics, biochemistry, ecology and the biochemistry of respiration and photosynthesis. You will be given the opportunity to carry out practical work, both individually and in groups where you will learn to critically analyse data and gain knowledge of a wide range of biological concepts. Biology can be used as an entry qualification for a variety of higher education courses including biological science courses, environmental science, medicine and healthcare sciences.
