It is essential in overcoming major concerns such as antibiotic resistance and food production to meet the needs of an expanding population. Biology compliments other subjects such as Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, Maths, PE, English and Sociology.
What you need to get on
At least 5 GCSEs graded 9-5, a 6 in Maths, plus grade 6/6 or above in Science. If taking separate sciences, a 6 in Biology is required, alongside a 6 in Chemistry or Physics.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
