The qualification provides learners with the essential digital skills which are needed in a wide range of situations in life and at work. Learners will develop knowledge and understanding of the core areas of Digital and an introduction to the skills required in the Digital sector.

What you need to get on

Learners will be required to take an initial assessment prior to starting this course to make sure they are on the right level for them and to ensure they have the necessary underpinning knowledge and skills to undertake the course Learners are expected to have some prior knowledge and experience of digital and IT skills, for example the Essential Digital Skills Qualification Level 1. This course is not suitable for the complete Beginner.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
