This 35-week internship programme runs over three days per week and is open to young adults aged 18–24. As part of the Learning Opportunities curriculum, it’s designed to support your personal and professional development while helping you take meaningful steps towards independent employment. You’ll complete three 10-week placements in different departments at the hospital, giving you practical experience in areas like catering, administration, and gardening. Throughout your placements, you’ll be guided and supported by experienced staff who understand how to help you succeed, both in the workplace and beyond. The programme focuses on real-world learning in a supportive environment. You’ll build valuable skills such as communication, teamwork, time management, and problem-solving, all while working with one of the region’s largest and most respected employers. This course has an outstanding track record, with 80% of learners progressing into paid employment last year. It’s more than just an internship - it’s a launchpad to your future.
