What the college says

A level Art (Textiles) is a linear, creative and thought-provoking qualification which allows students to deepen their knowledge, development and study within the focused area of Textile design. During the two year course students may undertake enquiries in one or more areas including : Garments & fashion, Accessories, Soft Furnishings, Printed and /or dyed texyiles and many more. The personal investigation is worth 60% and there is also a final examined unit where students respond to briefs or questions set by OCR, worth 40%.

What you need to get on

Students should have at least 6 GCSEs 9-4 including English and Maths and a grade 6 in Art Textiles or Product Design Textiles.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
