What the college says
If your passion is for fashion, then this is the must-do course for the fashion savvy and textile-a-holics. The Level 3 Fashion & Textiles course is a two year, full time study programme that is designed to give you every possible opportunity to develop the skills, competencies and knowledge that will lead to a successful future in the fashion, textiles and creative industries, or the many industries that require creative talent to support their business or enterprises. You will get the opportunity to explore a wide variety of industry skills including fashion drawing and illustration, garment production, textiles, surface design and print, styling, merchandising & promotion, and fashion photography & direction. Alongside this, you will also take part in our annual fashion shows and shoots, consisting of professional catwalk shows, in house and external, and working alongside industry professionals. The course enables you to develop skills that are highly useful for study at HE level and are increasingly in demand from employers. Fashion and textile designers are responsible for a great deal of the world we inhabit, from the clothes we wear, the carpets we walk on, the accessories we carry, the sofas we sit on, to the PPE worn by medical staff. They help to develop our cultural reference points, influence our musical tastes and fuel social debates. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJvj4_N3d4g
