What the college says

History is about the study of people in the past and present. It is only by studying these people that we can learn how to improve society for everybody. In this course you will study: Tudor England 1485-1603, Revolution and dictatorship: Russia 1917-1953 and Poverty in the 19th and 20th centuries. The career choices of students who study history are hugely varied. This is a facilitation subject.

What you need to get on

At least 5 GSCEs, or equivalent at grade 4 or above. History 5 if previously studied, English Language at grade 5 (Lang or Lit, English Language 4)

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
