Biology is an exciting and constantly changing discipline, where new developments in research are made almost on a daily basis. This course allows you opportunities to discover many aspects of biology, from the simple molecules that allow life to exist, to the interdependence of living organisms across the planet. Throughout the course we aim to develop your scientific methodology, awareness of the advances in technology and recognition of the value of biology in society.

What you need to get on

To enter South Craven Sixth Form you need to have achieved 9-4 (A*-C) at GCSE, or passes in other level 2 qualifications (e.g. BTEC, OCR Nationals), in at least 5 separate subjects including English Language or Maths. To include: Two Grade 6s in GCSE Science Grade 5 in GCSE Mathematics

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
