Core Maths is for students who are not taking A Level Maths but wish to continue developing their mathematical skills. Students will increase their confidence in usingmathematics, to be better equipped for the mathematical demands of other courses, higher education, and employment. Mathematical skills are becomingincreasingly important in the workplace and in higher education. Studying Core Maths will help you to keep up these essential skills. Core Maths has been designed to maintain and develop real-life mathematical skills. The course is not just purely theoretical or abstract, it can be applied on a day-to-day basis, whetherin work, study, or life in general. Core Maths can help with other subjects, in particular with sciences, geography, business studies, economics, psychology and engineering.It includes a financial element and will help you understand real life finances such as tax, national insurance, and mortgages.
