What the college says

During the Spring Term of Year 12 students who are coping well with their A level / BTEC studies will be given the opportunity to embark on the EPQ. This is a stand-alone, AS Level equivalent qualification, which is graded A* - E and worth up to 28 UCAS points. The EPQ will develop and extend from one or more of the student’s subjects and/or from an area of personal interest or activity outside their main programme of study. It will be based on a topic chosen by the student and agreed as appropriate by the EPQ Coordinator. Delivery of the EPQ will involve teaching of the necessary skills and then supervision meetings to support and monitor the student’s progress, but primarily it will require extended independent work by the student.
