Advanced level biology is a challenging course involving elements of biochemistry, maths, ecology and physiology. It is suited to students who have an interest in our bodies, life processes in plants and animals, the environment and biotechnology.

What you need to get on

Grade 6 or above in biology (separate science) or 6-6 or above in combined science: trlology, plus grade 5 or above in both maths and English. Students will need to successfully complete a bridging unit in biology over the summer break preceding the start date of the academic year.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
