Working in construction is about firm foundations, but it is not just a physical job. An ability to make informed decisions and estimates around your resources is just as important. In November 2023 a new 2 day course was launched and fully funded to give practical experience of completing construction estimations. Delegates attending will be expected to attend both days and complete practical estimates found on construction sites. This a practical course and not classroom based, as such you will need your own PPE (boots, hard hat, hiviz,). These can be provided if required, as well as travel support to the training centre. Number of hours of study: 2x 6hrs 12 hours (09am starts) · Building a house is more than just laying a brick! · Operating plant is more than holding a certification! · Ground working is more than just digging a hole! · Painting is more than a paint brush!

Eligible participants: • Adults 19+ without a level 2 maths qualification • Resident in Leicester or Leicestershire • Meet DfE ESFA residency eligibility criteria
