This one year course is designed for people who are interested in working with companion animals in kennels, catteries, animal sanctuaries and pet shops.A range of modules will be covered to include: animal feeding, accommodation, health, handling and wildlife, along with developing knowledge on health and safety, team work and employability skills.All students receive full tutorial support, individual and group tutorials each week. If you require special support you can receive such help through our Learning Support Centre, which provides academic coaching for those who need it.The completion of GCSEs is a compulsory part of the course for those leaners who do not have GCSE English and maths grade 4 already.
