What the college says
This course offers you the chance to explore one of the most important topics in today’s society. This qualification helps you develop essential knowledge and understanding of mental health, how it can be affected by different factors, and how we can support both individuals and communities in maintaining positive wellbeing. You’ll learn about the wide range of influences on mental health, from lifestyle and environment to social and psychological factors, and examine the potential impact these can have on a person’s wellbeing. The course also introduces practical strategies that can make a real difference—whether it’s providing early support, promoting resilience, or creating more mentally healthy environments. As part of your learning, you’ll use monitoring tools to assess mental health and wellbeing and reflect on how different approaches can be used to improve outcomes for individuals. This qualification not only deepens your understanding but also prepares you to apply what you’ve learned in real-world contexts, whether in education, healthcare, social care, or everyday life.
