Students taking the Health & Social Care and Mental Health Double will complete all of the SINGLE course in Year 1 and the Extended Certificate in Mental Health in Year 2. This Individuals and Society provides students with theoretical knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of mental health that will prepare students for undergraduate study. Students will explore how societal attitudes have changed over time, and develop practical skills and strategies to positively impact individuals and communities. The double award is equivalent to 2 A-Levels and is completed over 720 Guided Learning Hours by the completion of 4 exams and 7 coursework units, there are 4 mandatory units and 1 optional unit. The course is divided over two years, Year 1 completes the Health & Social Care content and Year 2 completes the Mental Health content.
