Or why China will soon be the most powerful country in the world? A-Level Economics aims to provide an insight into key issues in the news affecting everyday life. Our goal is to allow you to develop informed opinions and understand the forces that drive up interest rates, prices, exchange rates and unemployment in an economy. A-Level Economics is a suitable subject choice alongside Business Studies, History, Geography, World Development, Sociology and Psychology.

What you need to get on

GCSE Maths Grade 6 as well as 4 additional grade 5's including English and Maths

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.

What this level means

The A-level-equivalent step, and what universities and employers ask for.

Is it open to 16 to 18 year olds?
