What the college says

This level 2 course is the first year of two years of study and leads onto our full-time level 3 programme. Successful completion of this course could also lead on to an apprenticeship. After the second year and successful completion of the level 3, you can apply to become an AAT Qualified bookkeeper and can seek private accounting work, full-time employment as an accounts assistant or continue your studies in accounting at university.

What you need to get on

Four GCSEs grade 4 or above - with a minimum of one of the two core subjects: English or Maths the other at grade 3 Alternatively you can gain entry via * Progression from a level 1 course with minimum of 1 of the core subjects at grade 4 and the other at grade 3 * Progression from a level 2 course with minimum of 1 of the core subjects at grade 4 and the other at grade 3

How you are assessed

Two-year technical qualification with a 45-day industry placement. Equivalent to three A levels.

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
