This training provides skills and knowledge of double entry bookkeeping and furthers those skills into accounts preparation and preparation of financial statements. Course is assessed through examination at the end of each module.

What you need to get on

The course is available to students aged 19 or over. Candidates must have achieved at least 5 GCSE grades 9 to 4 including Maths and English and a AAT L2 qualification, or some form of accountancy experience. Applicants must possess a high level of maturity and prior to enrolment candidates will be assessed and interviewed for a place on the course. Entry onto any course at East Durham College is subject to final approval from the Assistant Principal. Where relevant, the term ‘entry requirements’ also includes DBS checks, references, fitness to practice, etc.

Two-year technical qualification with a 45-day industry placement. Equivalent to three A levels.
