his Level 1 qualification covers a range of skills and relevant supporting knowledge to help prepare students for applying numbers in business and working in a business environment. It will give you an understanding of: how different organisations operate how to contribute effectively in the workplace how businesses process sales and purchases, and the documents and procedures associated with this. You will also be equipped with the basic numerical skills needed in the workplace, such as decimals, percentages and fractions, and applying proportions and ratios. This course will give you a solid grounding before moving on to the Level 2 qualifications.

What you need to get on

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however, you will need basic working maths knowledge and be able to communicate in a classroom environment. This course is for learners aged 19+ only. If you are aged 16-18 and wishing to pursue a career in accounting, please consider the Accounting and Business - Level 2/3 course or an apprenticeship.

How you are assessed

Two-year technical qualification with a 45-day industry placement. Equivalent to three A levels.
