If you want to study sport at college or university or are considering a career in sport this will be an excellent course for you. A level PE will improve knowledge and understanding of the physical, social and psychological factors which affect participation and performance in sporting activities. Furthermore, the knowledge you will gain will make your decision making an overall performance in your chosen sport much more effective. A level PE will be a suitable choice for you if you have a keen interest in a variety of sports and topical issues regarding sport and exercise. It is essential you are committed to at least one physical activity which should involve you training and competing on a weekly basis.

What you need to get on

4 in English Language, 5 in Science and an average point score of 4. If GCSE PE has been taken, at least a 4 must have been achieved.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
