Studying the Subject - Psychology is the study of human behaviour: how we think and act, what influences our actions, child development, emotions, mental illness, personality, why people commit crime and how we can prevent crime, and many other fascinating aspects of human experience. Psychology involves the scientific study of the influences on human behaviour, for example, obedience and prejudice, phobias, memory and gender development. Students will study psychological research in five key areas at AS Level: the social, cognitive, psychodynamic, learning and biological approaches. At A2 Level, students will apply psychological theories to criminal, clinical and health psychology; students will also gain knowledge of a wide range of issues, perspectives and debates in Psychology.

Subject specific entry requirements - Students should have achieved Grade B in English, and Grade B Mathematics or a Science subject.
