Physics is the study of fundamental quantities and events. You will develop an awareness of the applications of physics and how it relates to everyday life. The course covers topics outlined below which cover the scale of our universe and how science has quantified and described it. A Level Physics is able to provide a pathway into further study of this exciting subject which is important in technology and the understanding of the very small and the very large. A Level Physics can lead into many higher education courses particularly in the fields of Engineering, Mathematics and Pure Science.

What you need to get on

At least 5 GCSEs at Grade 9-5 plus a minimum Grade 6 (B) in Maths as well as Grade 6 (B) in Double Award Science or Grade 6 (B) in Physics.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
