What the college says
A Level Physical Education encourages students to immerse themselves in the world of Sport and PE with the chance to perform or coach a Sport. It will allow the student time to develop theoretical knowledge and understanding of the factors that underpin physical activity and Sport, and use this knowledge to improve performance.
What you need to get on
Standard Entry Requirements. A Grade 6 in PE at GCSE is a good grounding but not essential. You should be an accomplished sports performer to at least first team school level in one Sport. An interest in reading about Sport, watching Sport and discussing Sport is mandatory.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
