What the college says

A Level PE is for strong sports performers who are interested in extending their knowledge and understanding of how the systems of the body work and how this impacts health and exercise. This course is predominantly theory, however there are regular opportunities to learn in a practical environment. Regular sports fixture’s are available as well as trips, visits and guest speakers. This course works well alongside other A Levels.

What you need to get on

Requires GCSEs in English, maths and science at grade 5, plus PE at grade 5 if taken, plus the standard entry requirements of an A Level or mixed programme.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
