What is Physical Education? Students will develop knowledge and understanding of Physical Education, sport and recreation from the grass roots to the elite level, and the development of competitive sport within society. Why study it? Sport is a rapidly growing area that will lead into a wide range of employment and further academic studies. If you are interested in sport, then our programme can help you take it to the next academic level or turn your interest into a career.
What you need to get on
You will need to achieve five or more “4” grades. Must be playing, coaching or officiating competitively in at least 1 sport regularly
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.

The A-level-equivalent step, and what universities and employers ask for.
