A-Level Music Technology is the study of how modern music has been shaped since the early 20th century by technology. If you are interested in the development of popular music, and in learning and developing practical skills using music technology through creative composition, performance and production (recording, mixing and mastering music), this course is perfect for you. *Please note that Music and Music Technology are completely different courses, but it is possible to study both alongside each other.

What you need to get on

At least 5 GCSE Grades 9 - 4 to include English and Maths; and GCSE Grade 5 or above in Music. You must also be able to perform an instrument or sing.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
