The Advanced GCE Music course — simple in design but comprehensive — is intended to be stimulating and enriching for students and teachers alike. At both Advanced Subsidiary Levels (AS) and A2, students experience all three main musical disciplines of performing, composing and listening and understanding.

What you need to get on

Beyond the minimum entry criteria for Level 3 learning of five A*-C GCSE grades including English, students will also be expected to achieve a minimum B Grade in GCSE Music. Students who achieve a C grade may be accepted on an individual basis through discussion with the Subject Leader.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
