This course is for 16-19 year olds who have an interest in the role of media in our day-to-day life and who want the opportunity to extend their practical skills in their chosen medium. Students will view, evaluate and analyse a variety of media products, and develop practical skills spanning a range of media forms.

What you need to get on

General Qualifications: For 3 A Level subjects you require 6 GCSEs grades 9-4 in academic subjects, taken in one sitting. In addition, there are subject specific entry criteria which relate to the specific demands of the subject. Specifically for A Level Media Studies you need a GCSE grade 6 in a suitable subject such as English.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
