The media course includes the following units: - An introduction to Print, Broadcast and E-Media, with a focus on audience, institution, form and language. Independent cross media-study into an individual area of interest. - A practical coursework section meeting a broad brief of choice, with the opportunity to make print, broadcast or E-Media. - A theory based exploration of current topics and debates within a modern media context. Includes an independent case study into an individual area of interest. - A coursework section with a research essay and a practical production of your choice. An A Level in Media can lead to a range of careers including, Media planner, Multimedia specialist, programme researcher, broadcasting/film/video, public relations officer etc.

What you need to get on

At least 5 4-9 GCSE grades (or A*-C legacy GCSE grades) with a minimum of 6 or above in GCSE English

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
