You will demonstrate an appreciation and deep understanding of the media and their role, both historically and currently in society, culture, politics and the economy. The Theoretical Framework for A level Media studies includes Media Language; Representation; Audience and media industries.

What you need to get on

This is a popular two-year course in which students have achieved high grades in recent years. It is not necessary to have taken GCSE Media Studies, but an interest in the wider media landscape is essential. To study A-Level Media Studies, it is preferable you must have interest in the Media and you will require a good grade in English GCSE, preferably grade 5 or higher.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
