Aimed at School Leavers. You will learn about all aspects of the Media from the key concepts such as genre, narrative, representation and audience through to researching, designing and producing your own media production which could include a short film, magazine article or a poster campaign. A wide range of media texts are studied and analysed from music videos, video games, advertising, film marketing, newspapers and radio news/current affairs programmes.

What you need to get on

To study an A Level programme you will need to achieve a minimum of three grade 5s and two grade 4s at GCSE including English Language and Maths at grade 5. Each individual subject carries its own entry criteria and some subjects do require higher grades than this.
