A Level in Further Mathematics (Edexcel)

at The Belvedere Academy, Liverpool · school or sixth form

Level 3A levelsGCE A level2 yearsFull time

What the college says

For someone who enjoys mathematics, it provides a challenge and a chance to explore new and/or more sophisticated mathematical concepts. It eases the transition from sixth form to maths rich university courses as more of the first year course content will be familiar. It also identifies students as able mathematicians to prospective employers or higher education. Indeed, some degree courses state that Further Maths is recommended or even offer slightly lower admissions criteria for students studying Further Maths. Students who take Further Maths often find that the additional time spent studying maths boosts their marks in A Level Maths.
