A level English Literature suits those who enjoy these challenges: reading independently at home; drafting and redrafting work in response to feedback from staff; playing an active role in all lessons and engaging with the themes, issues and topics explored across the course. When you undertake the non-exam assessment component in Year 13, you will be taught in tutorials with your teacher. In tutorials you will have the opportunity to discuss your own work, receiving advice on how to improve your writing and analytical skills.

Typical grades needed 5 x GCSE at grade 4 or above. with a minimum grade 5 in the subject you wish to study or a related subject.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
