What is History? History seeks to understand past lives and societies. It takes as its field of study the entire human experience in all times and places. History analyses the past, assessing the complex web of causes that help explain why particular events and phenomena occur. Why study it? Studying history at Conyers enables A-Level students to study a wide variety of historical periods. Each course has been chosen to offer a different historical perspective. By studying such disparate periods it is hoped that students will gain a thorough grounding in History. This should enable students to apply to university with confidence.
