What the college says
A level History, encompassing two topics: The Tudors 1485-1603 and Nazi Germany 1918-1945. Students study in breadth with the Tudors, using modern interpretations to study jey figures such as Henry VIII, Wolsey, Cromwell and Elizabeth I. Students study in depth with Nazi Germany, looking at the post war Weimar years before examining the Nazi state and holocaust.
What you need to get on
GCSE grade 6 minimum in History or English. Must have five grade 6s overall.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
