Graphic Design is the process of visual communication, and problem-solving through the use of type, space and image. Therefore Graphics is all around us - the packaging we use, lettering, illustration, labels and brands that we see every day, advertising across a range of platforms, its all designed and created through Graphic Design processes. The areas that the course focuses on are illustration, advertising, branding and information graphics. Studying the subject will provide you with the opportunity to develop a large range of image making skills that can be applied and directed to further study and career opportunities.

What you need to get on

Five Grade 5s at GCSE and at least a 5 in Art or Graphic Design OR portfolio to this standard

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
