The course builds on the skills developed at GCSE, giving pupils the ability to understand spoken and written German at a high level while also providing pupils with the tools to communicate confidently in spoken and written form.

What you need to get on

Minimum grade 6 in GCSE German. General qualification requirements must also be met: GGCSE English and Maths at grades 4-9; minimum three GCSEs at grades 6-9, and a further three GCSEs at grades 5-9. Native modern foreign languages are not normally counted. GCSE subject grades may only be counted once.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
