Studying the Subject - German in the Sixth Form is lively, interactive and challenging. The course is based around the study of topics, including the media, popular culture, lifestyle and family relationships at AS, and, at A2, film, literature, the arts, the environment, multicultural society and contemporary social issues. Lessons are mainly conducted in German and practise listening, speaking, reading and writing equally. Resources include the internet, satellite television, magazines, film, music and literature. All students are encouraged to spend time in Germany during their course and we assist them in finding work experience placements in the Spring break of Year 12. We also offer students the opportunity to take part in an exchange trip to Munich, one of the most exciting and beautiful cities in Europe.

What you need to get on

Subject Specific Entry Requirements: DRHS 4 - Students should have achieved Grade 7 (or equivalent) in GCSE German. DRHS 3 - Students should have achieved Grade 6 (or equivalent) in GCSE German. All students also need to achieve a Grade 6 (or equivalent) in GCSE English due to the essay writing involved.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
