Statistics show that, compared with other subjects, geographers are among the most employable. Many employers prize the knowledge and skills that studying geography can provide. The Russell (spelling) Group Universities include it as one of their key ‘facilitating subjects’, i.e. one that improves your likelihood of entry to a respected degree course. In whatever career path you choose, you will need to develop transferable skills and you will need to be flexible. Geography fosters these qualities and provides a firm base for life-long learning. 5 x grade 4 or above including English Language & Maths. Grade 5 in Geography and one other essay based subject.
