Inspired by Geography as a key discipline relevant to understanding the worlds changing places and peoples, you will also develop a sense of achievement as you grow as a critical, independent thinker and as an informed and engaged citizen. Do you have a keen interest in our ever-evolving world? This course provides an exciting issues-based investigation of both physical and human aspects of the subject. Applying your geographical knowledge, understanding and skills to the world around you, you will engage critically with a wide range of contemporary issues such as tectonic hazards, climate change, resource sustainability, globalisation, and superpowers. As Michael Palin (former President of the Royal Geographical Society) has said: Geography explains the past, illuminates the present and prepares us for the future. What could be more important than that?

What you need to get on

GCSE Grade 6 in Geography or English, alongside four GCSEs at Grade 4 or above. (GCSE Geography, whilst advantageous, isnt a requirement but a keen interest in the worlds changing places and peoples is essential.)

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
