Geography is a broad academic subject that will open up options for you in your future. Your A Level Geography course will cover both the physical and human environments and the complex interaction of processes that shape our world. Employers and universities see geography as a robust academic subject rich in skills, knowledge and understanding. As a subject linking the arts and the sciences, it is highly flexible in terms of what you can combine it with at A Level.

What you need to get on

Students are required to have achieved a grade 6 or above at GCSE Geography in order to be accepted on the course. This should include at least three grades 6 in the examined modules. Students will also need a 6 grade or above in GCSE English Language. Students need to be aware that there is a large amount of mathematical content in the course and Geographical Skills and therefore a 6 grade in Mathematics is required.
