We choose our topics carefully so there is a natural progression from GCSE to A Level, ensuring there is a development of content, allowing for specialisation and progression to higher education and employment. You will be given the opportunity to develop fieldwork skills and study geographical issues and impacts. A high value is placed on the quality of the written work (spelling, grammar, punctuation). This course is designed to enable students to explore and evaluate contemporary geographical questions and issues, such as the consequences of globalisation, responses to hazards, water insecurity and climate change. The range of topics which are covered in the content provide students with the opportunity to develop an in-depth understanding of physical and human geography, and the complexities of people and the environment. Students are encouraged to become critical, reflective and independent learners. The skills developed in Geography support a range of subjects.
