Further mathematics takes the studies of calculus, trigonometry, geometry and more from A Level Mathematics to new heights. Students become fluent with complex numbers, Taylor expansions, a vast array of techniques for integration and are exposed to sophisticated methods for solving differential equations. In their optional papers, students will extend their studies of data and probability by taking exams in further statistics as well as round off their understanding of Newtonian physics with further mechanics. Overarching themes within the course include logical argument and proof, high-level problem-solving and the use of mathematical models
