What the college says

English Literature is a well-established A level subject that is highly regarded by Universities. It will allow you to develop further skills in analysing and writing about literary texts that you have been introduced to at GCSE English. You will study texts from all the major literary genres: prose, drama and poetry, produced by writers from a wide range of historical periods and backgrounds.

What you need to get on

You need five GCSEs at grade 9 - 4 . Including English Literature GCSE at Grade 9 - 5 and English Language GCSE at Grade 9 - 5 Most importantly, you should enjoy reading!

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
