For English Literature GCE Advanced Level you will study eight texts from across the genres of prose, poetry and drama, three of which will be pre-1900 (including one Shakespeare play). In addition, you are also encouraged to undertake a comprehensive programme of wider reading.

What you need to get on

You must have achieved 54 points in your best 8 GCSE results, including a 6 in Maths, to gain admission to our Sixth Form. A minimum of an 7 grade in GCSE English or English Literature

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
