To understand human experience across history and in contemporary life we must look to its literature. Studying English Literature with us will provide you with the opportunity to explore a wide range of exciting poetry, prose and drama from different periods, as well as undertaking an independent coursework project inspired by your own reading interest. You should enjoy reading and exploring wider contexts across a broad range of literature. Students leave us with both a highly regarded academic qualification and a love of literature that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
What you need to get on
College entry to include a grade 5 in GCSE English Language and a grade 5 in GCSE English Literature, (please refer to the Entry Requirements section for further details).
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
