This course will build on the skills developed at GCSE with a range of seminal literature that explores many themes still relevant today, such as race, gender, social class and love. The introduction of literary criticism will stretch skills and expose you to different ideas and interpretations of set texts, supporting the development of their own ideas. An appreciation for literature is essential, and you will be rewarded with a deeper understanding of how literature reflects their own society
