2 year linear study. Course Objectives:This challenging and creative course covers both practical and theoretical aspects of drama. Drama and Theatre focuses on work with plays and it enables students to acquire a knowledge and understanding of the language of drama and theatre as well as develop their performing and analytical skills. Progression opportunities: Drama and Theatre is universally accepted by universities and can provide opportunities for careers ranging from journalism, film, performance or backstage roles in theatre arts administration, personnel and teaching. Course content:You will develop skills in the analysis of plays in theory as well as performance.  There is a written examination at the end of the course.  Students have the opportunity to answer the questions from the point of view of the actor, designer or director in this exam.

What you need to get on

6 GCSE grade 4-9 including English and Maths Drama and Theatre A Level can be taken without completion of GCSE Drama. An interest in theatre must be evident which can be shown through participation in extra curricular drama. Audition/Interview

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
